Challenge
The original kitchen felt closed-in and dated: heavy orange-toned cabinets, dark countertops, a dropped soffit, an old fluorescent light box, and a busy wallpaper backsplash made the room feel small and tired. The homeowners wanted a brighter, coastal-modern kitchen that would hold up to Southwest Florida humidity and salt air.
Solution
We removed the soffit and light box to gain ceiling height, installed full-height white shaker cabinetry with soft-close hardware, added a quartz peninsula with a raised bar for casual seating, and finished with a tonal slate-look tile backsplash and brushed-nickel fixtures. New recessed lighting and an updated ceiling fan complete the airy, coastal look.
