Hurricane Damage Repair in Central Florida

Hurricanes keep much of their strength by the time they reach Central Florida. We repair wind, tree-impact and flood damage to homes and commercial properties around Orlando.

Storm History

Storms That Hit Central Florida

  • Hurricane Milton (2024)

Crossed the peninsula from Sarasota County, bringing damaging winds, heavy rain and flooding to the Orlando area.

  • Hurricane Ian (2022)

Tracked inland across Central Florida as a slow-moving storm; record rainfall flooded neighborhoods such as Orlo Vista and areas along the St. Johns River.

  • Hurricane Irma (2017)

Moved up the center of the state with widespread tree, roof and power damage in Orange and Seminole counties.

  • Hurricane Charley (2004)

Crossed directly over Orlando after its Punta Gorda landfall, still at hurricane strength.

Codes & Permits

Building Code Notes

Flood zones
Central Florida is inland, so most properties fall outside the coastal wind-borne debris region, but roofs are still built to Florida Building Code wind-load requirements.
Wind and coastal rules
Rainfall flooding can put homes outside the coastal flood zones into the 50% substantial-damage review when they sit in mapped floodplains near lakes and creeks.
Local requirements
Permits are issued by the city when the property is inside city limits and by the county when it is unincorporated.

Mobilization

How It Works

Central Florida projects are scheduled after an initial consultation; we plan crew mobilization from our Naples base around the scope and timeline.

  1. 01

    Request an assessment

Submit the assessment form or call 239-944-0527 with the property address, the damaged areas, and photos if you have them.

  2. 02

    Review and site visit

We review the damage with you by phone, then schedule an on-site visit. Timing depends on access to the area and the volume of requests after a storm, and is confirmed after the initial consultation.

  3. 03

    Written scope and permits

You receive a written, itemized scope. We pull the repair permits from the local building department that has jurisdiction over the property.

  4. 04

    Crew mobilization and rebuild

Our crew and licensed trade partners mobilize to the property for roof, drywall, insulation, flooring, kitchen, bath and whole-interior reconstruction through final inspection.

Titan Builder and Renovation LLC holds state-certified Florida licenses — CGC1541818 (General), CCC1337764 (Roofing) and CRC1336002 (Residential) — which are valid in every Florida county.
