Slow-moving storm that made landfall at Gulf Shores, Alabama, with extreme rainfall and flooding in Pensacola and Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

  • Hurricanes Idalia, Debby and Helene (2024)

Idalia (2023), Debby and Helene (both 2024) all made landfall in the Big Bend, with surge on the coast and wind damage inland toward Tallahassee.

Codes & Permits

Building Code Notes

Flood zones
Until 2007, much of the Panhandle more than a mile from the coast was exempt from the wind-borne debris protection rules; many homes built before then have unprotected openings, which matters when windows and doors are replaced.
Wind and coastal rules
Coastal and riverfront property in FEMA flood zones is subject to the 50% substantial-damage rule.
Local requirements
Beachfront work on Santa Rosa Island and Panama City Beach falls under the Coastal Construction Control Line program.

Mobilization

How It Works

The Panhandle is a long-distance mobilization from our Naples base. Availability and site-visit timing are confirmed after the initial consultation.

  1. 01

    Request an assessment

Submit the assessment form or call 239-944-0527 with the property address, the damaged areas, and photos if you have them.

  2. 02

    Review and site visit

We review the damage with you by phone, then schedule an on-site visit. Timing depends on access to the area and the volume of requests after a storm, and is confirmed after the initial consultation.

  3. 03

    Written scope and permits

You receive a written, itemized scope. We pull the repair permits from the local building department that has jurisdiction over the property.

  4. 04

    Crew mobilization and rebuild

Our crew and licensed trade partners mobilize to the property for roof, drywall, insulation, flooring, kitchen, bath and whole-interior reconstruction through final inspection.

Titan Builder and Renovation LLC holds state-certified Florida licenses — CGC1541818 (General), CCC1337764 (Roofing) and CRC1336002 (Residential) — which are valid in every Florida county.
